Fun With Daddy

Today the girls had a fun day with daddy. They went bowling and skating. Aric is always taking them to do something. Caden and I stayed home and took a nap.

Talking Already

Now that Kaiya knows Memaw's phone numbers, all she wants to do is call her. The first thing she says when she wakes up in the morning is "Can I call Memaw?" Now she has Caden talking on the phone too!

In My Shoes

Lately the girls have been wearing my shoes around the house. They pretend like they are going to a party or they are spies (I don't know what kind of spy wears heels!) Jacie says she is a princess. Why do we need toys when we have high heels???

I took Caden to the Dr on Thursday. Dr said he looks great. My guess of his weight was pretty accurate. He weighs a whopping 12 lbs 4 oz. He is in the 86th percentile for his weight and 71st for his length. He had to get 3 shots and 1 oral vaccination. The poor little guy ran a fever and seemed to have an upset tummy for 2 days afterwards. Today, he is full of smiles and feeling much better!

Free soap from Target!

Today I went to Target and found this great deal. I got 2 Softsoap Ensembles that totaled to more than $10. After my coupons, I paid $2.42 and I got a $5 gift card to use on my next purchase. So I basically got it for free and plus $2.58! Deals like this make it worth the time and effort I spend couponing.

We went to church Sunday morning the weekend which is unusual for us because we go on Saturday nights. Jacie was a bit confused. She asked me, "Why are we going to church in the day?" One of Kaiya's friends was being baptized. Kaiya told me a couple of weeks ago that she wanted to be baptized and I asked her why because I wanted to see if she was really ready. She said "Because I want to eat the cracker and juice." I explained to her that is not why we get baptized.

I can't believe Caden is already 2 months old! It seems like he was just born yesterday. He is getting so big. Tomorrow he has his 2 month check up. I'm not looking forward to the shots, but I am excited to see how much he has grown. I'm guessing he weighs about 12 pounds???

"We love our brother!"

The girls cannot get enough of their brother. If he makes the least little wimper they come running. They are great helpers and Caden just smiles at them all the time.

Kid's Night at Applebee's

Tonight we ate dinner at Applebee's with some friends. Every Wednesday kids can eat for $.99 and they have face painting, a magician or some sort of activity for the kids. Tonight the face painting lady was late so they were unable to get their's done. Kaiya was very disappointed.

Bargain Shopping

Lately, I have been challenging myself to see how much money I can save on groceries by using coupons and shopping the sales. It can be time consuming, but when you come home with lots of groceries for little money it is worth the time. Here is what I bought on my last shopping trip to Target and Publix. I only spent $21.30.
